GenderWatch.ru is a collective of feminists from St. Petersburg who design online cards. The project challenges gender-specific prejudices and questions gender-connoted norms and behaviours in the society. Each edition of online cards is dedicated to a specific date in the Russian calendar. Holidays such as the 8th of March are used to visually show the problematic aspects of the gender dynamics they reinscribe and raise awareness on gender inequality. Genderwatch.ru is a non-profit project and finances itself through crowdfunding, donations and grants.
